Judge Silveira was formerly with the law firm of Curtis & Arata in Modesto, CA. She took the Oath of Office as a Municipal Court Judge in 1997 and the Oath of Office as a Superior Court Judge in 1998.

She was the Presiding Judge of the Juvenile Departments of the Superior Court from 1999 – 2003. She is currently the Presiding Judge of the Family Law Departments of the Superior Court. Her assignment beginning January 2004 will be as a trial judge in Department 7.

Judge Silveira has handled several civil and criminal jury trials.
